"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

humm, so, to submit a picture or art or something, there's a Submit Deviation at the top right in the menu. You can also make a journal there by hitting the Update Journal button. in that same menu list you can edit your preferances and stuff. thats where you upload your icon :3 it has to be 50x50 pixels at most.
to put someone elses icon in your journal or comments, go :icon person'sname: without the space. so, for example, yours would be :icon loveintheair91: without the space, making it !
